What is the difference between Area and Perimeter?

How do I find the diagonal?
To find the diagonal of a square, multiply the side length by the square root of 2 (approximately 1.414).
What happens if I input a negative number?
Physical squares cannot have negative side lengths. If you enter a negative number, the math engine will still calculate a positive area, but the perimeter will be mathematically meaningless in the real world.
